Vampire Poll Responses, Page 7

Back in the days when Sanguinarius: The Vampire Support Page was located on AOL, I was able to run a short questionnaire from a modified guestbook script hosted by AOL. Once I moved the site off of AOL's servers, I no longer had the ability to run the response form off their script. I've not found anything suitable since then to use, so I'm not running the poll any longer or accepting new resonses; this may change someday if I find a suitable script to use.

The poll ran from 3 January, 1998 until 31 December, 2000. I have archived the responses the poll recieved in this section, and guests are still able view them.

Response: I don't believe vampires are blood sucking, dark creatures of the night. they are people, with souls and emotions, who feel things just a little deeper than you and me. I believe there are vampires, who feed on the psychic energy of others, in different levels. these levels vary in degree of need. Some need only emotional energy (Psychic/energy vampires) and some need a higher level of energy which can be tapped by consuming varying amounts of blood. Vampires do not walk alone in the night, they are not burned by sunlight, but are more sensitive to harsh extremes of environment and light. Vampires are not immortal, but can extend their life spans by consuming this type of energy from others. People need to understand and respect the fact that vampires do exist, and need to leave the lore of the blood sucking count who sleeps in a coffin behind them and understand the facts of the vampire.

Response: The last time I posted my views I thought I was pretty much in full possession of the facts. Now I realize there is more I need to learn about vampyres. I feel a certain connection that I can't explain. I have recently become aware of my powers, the last five years not knowing what they were, or not wanting to face them. I do believe in Psychic vampyres, who take this type of energy to sustain themselves. I am still trying to cultivate these powers, but I also need guidance. It is so hard to meet others of the vampyric nature, and its understandable. I guess it has always been hard. Response: I have been such a one since I was a small child of about 49. I am a pagan by philosophy and a night wanderer by nature. My son is also of the blood and has always gelt that way. We are positive people that do not infringe upon others. We live our lives in a way that brings harm to none, we do not go looking for others to bring into the clan, sometimes they are drawn towards us. There has always been a fascination about the Vampyre. We have been seen as everything from romantic, to vile. We are your neighbors, we are your teachers and we are your friends.
