Sanguinarius.org for Real Vampires The foremost real vampire information & resource site on the 'Net --
Established Spring, 1997.
This site, excluding the Teen
Vampires section, is intended for mature viewers 17 or older.
Back in the days when Sanguinarius: The Vampire Support Page was
located on AOL, I was able to run a short questionnaire from a modified
guestbook script hosted by AOL. Once I moved the site off of AOL's servers,
I no longer had the ability to run the response form off their script.
I've not found anything suitable since then to use, so I'm not running
the poll any longer or accepting new resonses; this may change someday
if I find a suitable script to use.
The poll ran from 3 January, 1998 until 31 December, 2000. I have archived
the responses the poll recieved in this section, and guests are still
able view them.

Name:Phoenixx Web Page:CyberNexus Online Gender: Male Age: 21 Response: Well. I am restless. I snack constantly, yet continue
to loose weight. I am always thirsty -- even when i am full, craving i
don't know what. I prefer night to day, though other than sore eyes, and
lack of stamina, daytime holds no peril for me. My mind can grasp highly
complex concepts like they were childishly simple, yet something as simple
as a relationship is totally beyond my understanding. I prefer to embrace
neutrality. I have fangs, yet not many other people i know do. When i
am around or in contact with some forms of energy, such an flourescent
lights or direct contact with others, i seem to become energised and euphoric,
I have had an unnerving interest in vampires since childhood, when my
dreams were haunted with many vampire type things.. oddly enough often
involving me as a vampire. Yet in real life there was no source to feed
these dreams. I have not had any form of sickness since childhood other
than pimples, and recently a rash. My life is very lonely (emotionally),
and I seem powerless to remedy the situation. I tend to gain the ability
to subconciously read the minds of those around me, and those around me
tend to be able to read my mind easily. I seem to be depressed by loneliness,
but in an unusual way this depression tends to make me behave very poetically,
and romantic. My entire being is consumed by the need to find a companion.
The idea of drinking blood is not entirely repulsive to me, yet other
than the occasional wound or cut lip, i have never done it before. My
wounds tend to heal very rapidly; my hair tends to grow very quickly;
and my gaze can poke a hole in a crowded room. My stomach (or at least
the general vicinity) always feels uneasy. I seem to gain composure and
stamina at night. Psychologically, I am like a cross between Einstein,
the Pretender (a tv show), and Millenium (another TV show). I seem to
be able to spot those like myself, and tend to try to guide them. I estimate
there is at least one of my kind in every school. Though they get harder
to spot with age. It seems while the rest of the world seems to be growing
in numbers more insane and violent, yet our kind is generally non-violent,
at least in the way that we mean no malice, and are only violent when
we are in a situation where we feel we need to defend ourselves. Our numbers
are growing rapidly, just as are the malicious people numbers are growing
as well. My opinion is that this is some sort of evolutionary split in
humanity, and we may be heading towards some sort of battle of the arch-types
of humanity. We are in every facet of society, and are well-placed if
indeed a battle does become necessary. I and most of my kind tend to have
an unusally strong interest in conspiracy, and quietly make note of all
that happens around us. Mentally, we seem to be on the edge of sanity
and madness, yet nothing seems to be able to push us over the edge. In
a bout of depression I wrote the following, perhaps this describes our
kind better: To those of you with a dark side, those who prefer night
to day, those who are restless and know not why, those who have nothing
to live for, and equally have nothing to die for, many of you do I know,
for i attract your kind.. I have named thee. You are Social Vampires.
Let our kind sweep the undeserving from the world or at least dance them
into the floor. := Perhaps you should create a new category of vampire.

Name:Dire Web Page: Gender: Female Age: 14 (age is a stereotype, get over it) Response: vampires, in my mind, are the night walkers... the ones
with a lust for energy that they can draw from other people/animals (plants,
even?). Yes, I think some consume blood, others a chi energy (pranic,
aura, whatever). They are sensitive to sunlight or any other light....
and have some sort of aura about them... some mysticism or allure, if
you will.. if not erotic to some. Do you consider yourself a vampire? Don't Know/Not Sure

Name:Samantha Web Page:- Gender: Female Age: 16 Response: i think vampires are supernatural creatures with the
ability to drain mortals of their life-force in one way or another. Some
can be people who were once good, some can be bad, like people who were
good a really long time ago. In some aspects they are just like humans.
They seem to be sensually frightening creatures, who can appear in many
forms. The fact that they existed in so many different parts of the world,
in so many different cultures and until today still permeate our lives,
shows that they are definitely a reality. Do you consider yourself a vampire? Don't Know/Not Sure

my opinion so far. Vampires are not as bad as they are thought to be.
Sure they feed on the living but humans do, too. They're not from hell
or supernatural forces, but from evolution. They are humans predators
and in which you must respect us. Do you consider yourself a vampire? Yes

Name:Catsie Web Page: Gender: Select Age: 16 Response: Technically, a "vampire" is anyone or any thing that
"drinks" or absorbs blood or energy. That's what I think. They're normal
people other than this one thing that sets them apart. How far they take
it is their choice. Of course they all differ in one way or another just
as any person does. One's personality determines what they are like and
how they act, as I've come to realize; only people who pretend to be vampires
because "it's cool" reflect the stereotypes seen in movies, books, folklore,
games, etc. The others, those who actually need/desire blood/energy for
no other reason than their instincts (or whatever it may be according
to them), for the most part don't sleep in coffins, never go outside during
the day, etc., unless they do so out of their own will, not because if
they do they'll melt. That's what I think. Do you consider yourself a vampire? Yes

Name: Web Page: Gender: Male Age: 14 Response: I think vampires are like normal people, except they
have the need to take blood (or energy, my favorite) to sustain their
life. They are generally nice people, ethical, and just overall good people.
I don't take blood often, i mainly take Energy; i have to take a little
each day. if i don't, i feel strange, get really dizzy, tired, and feel
really draggy. But not if i take a little energy each day (sometimes twice
a day when i am especially tired or draggy). I heard someone say that
you get especially strange around 18 and 19, and you start needing more
and more blood or energy, is that true? if so, that would not be a good
thing to look foward to, in my opinion. Do you consider yourself a vampire? Yes
