Sanguinarius.org for Real Vampires The foremost real vampire information & resource site on the 'Net --
Established Spring, 1997.
This site, excluding the Teen
Vampires section, is intended for mature viewers 17 or older.
Back in the days when Sanguinarius: The Vampire Support Page was
located on AOL, I was able to run a short questionnaire from a modified
guestbook script hosted by AOL. Once I moved the site off of AOL's servers,
I no longer had the ability to run the response form off their script.
I've not found anything suitable since then to use, so I'm not running
the poll any longer or accepting new resonses; this may change someday
if I find a suitable script to use.
The poll ran from 3 January, 1998 until 31 December, 2000. I have archived
the responses the poll recieved in this section, and guests are still
able view them.

General Industries Gender: Male Age: 22 Response: I have looked into the issue of vampires a fair bit since
my 1999 posting in this poll. I think I have come to a possible explanation
of sorts to the phenomenon. However it's sorta spiritual.. well it's the
best i have come up with so far. I think that vampires are immortal..
but not physically. It is my opinion that vampires are a sort of roving
spirit.. who at the time of physical death uses its "psy" aspects to transfer
itself to the mind of another person, typically a very young, possibly
unborn child. I would like to think that this is a symbiotic relationship..
as the duality of my personality seems to suggest -- in that I seem to
think on two levels at once. But it is entirely possible that it is in
many a hostile takeover where the original personality is entirely killed..
it is also possible that what happens to the original mind of the victim
depends on if the vampire spirit is malevolent or benevolent, passive
or dominant. Understandably this is a rather tibetan "reincarnation" type
of opinion, and i don't profess to be any sort of practitioner of buddism
or its variants. I came to the conclusion a while back, it was the only
logical way of explaining who i could have woken up one day at the age
of 3, and suddenly known many many things I had never learned, and could
remember events like they had happened to me, -- except that when i looked
them up they had occured before my birth. before you discount this idea
however, consider this.. a crystal radio is a very simple device, consisting
of nothing but a diode, a few pieces of wire and a capacitor connected
to an audio coil.. now compare that with the complexity of the human brain..
and then try to tell me that the mind is not capable of something as simple
and picking up signals..... Do you consider yourself a vampire? Yes

Name:Lasm Web Page: Gender: Female Age: Response: In my opinion, vampires are like almost any other human.
Yet, most vampires (from my experience) seem to have better or more qualities
than humans, per se, such as: high intelligence, nobility, pure passionate
methods, and an unmistakable, yet hidden (to most), deep impact of character.
Which is, quite frankly, not of the "every day" kind of human breed...
People misjudge vampires for the worse, and it is a crime, not against
"us" really, but it's a crime against how fragile, pathetic and ignorant
(no offense) the human mind can be in these times. Though, it will probably
always be like this, it has been for ages, any way. Do you consider yourself a vampire?

Name:Zensimilia Web Page:Shopping 4 Cash Gender: Female Age: 42 Response: Well the whole idea of what I thought Vampires are is
kaput, now! I honestly thought it was a psychological condition of some
kind..... but I see now it's a real physical condition that you deal with
every day, and there's enough of you to make an entire community! An addiction
by choice in some, and an addiction that chose others. I see more clearly
now; but I still see you as human...... Thank you for my 'awakening' of
yet another Brother's presence! Do you consider yourself a vampire? No

Name:Deanna Web Page: Gender: Female Age: Response: I happen to think that vampyres are just like anyone
else in todays world. The only simple yet big difference is the particular
vampyre part. I know for sure that not all vampyres dress "goth". I know
this because I have met a few. A christian, an old friend, and a few others
that were into the "goth" scene. To me a vampyre is a careful and intelligent
being. Some crave for blood others crave for other things. I don't believe
in the whole Dracula stab in the heart concept, the chosen slayer, although
I do believe in hunters. I believe that immortality might be possible.
I don't know how to tell if you might be a vampyre, although I'm open
to find out. Some say that some "symptoms" include: the sudden craving
for blood, sudden loss of energy, migraines, dizziness, loss of appeitite
to any type of food while eating, I can go on, but some of you know what
I'm talking about. If someone would be interested, please tell me if this
is true or even more facts. Deanna Do you consider yourself a vampire? Don't Know/Not Sure

believe that there are people who have a physical and/or mental need for
blood and some don't need the blood but are still different in there apearance.
There are "good" and "bad" vampires just as there are "good" and "bad"
other people, most just want to live in peace have a career, a family
sometimes, and walk down the streets without persecution. It is not always
possible and very hard to find medical help especially when you don't
have a family to support you, it's not like you can just walk in the ER
for a x-ray if you have been beaten on the head. That stuff from the movies:
stake through the heart/death by sunlight/no mirror reflexion is all nonsense
and vampires certainly don't live forever and will get seriously hurt
being hit by a bus. Do you consider yourself a vampire? Don't Know/Not Sure
